"Fill us anew we pray"

A very short line with such a powerful meaning, we are asking God to make us new! Life throws stuff us at us all the time and with each problem we face, a piece of that problem "can" stay with us. So its a cry to God to replace the damage with him, for us to be like children - for him to be the sticky plaster to heal the wound. When God fills us anew we are lifted up, healed and restored - it might not feel like it all the time, at times we might not feel like we are new, but God will lift you up when you call on his name. He will fill us anew.

"Were you there when they crucified my lord"

This song is a really old song, but I was thinking about easter and all the songs we do in my church and what songs could we do this year and this line came into my head, so I sat with it for a while and then began to look at the deeper meaning.

Obviously none of us were actually there at the time when Jesus was nailed to the cross, but I can't help but think in some way that parts of us were. Not my actual being - but my sins are what put him on that cross, he died for my faults, my human weakness. Its in our sins that were there.
I really love knowing that Jesus died for me, but its not a morbid thought - its the thought that I have been set free, he gave his life so I can live mine.

Some exctiting news to share with you all!
A friend of mine works for a company called one small barking dog (www.osbd.org), its a media company where I get most of my images for the site. We were talking about making a video on praise and worship and how breathe came about - hopefully to help inspire other people to do the same, to kind of act like a resource so that people will know not all praise and worship has to be hyped up and that as long as it the praise comes from the heart it can be just as great. So please pray for the video, and lets hope that it motivates others to lead worship.

Watch this space.

"Let your glory shine around"

This line is taken from a loved song - Facedown. But how does Gods glory shine around? Its often alot neaer than you think, for me we need to look into the people around us to let Gods glory shine around. Not just in the people that we like and get on with but the people that we struggle with. Gods glory is in them just as much as us - but its often harder to see.
We need to pray to be able to see Gods glory in every situation and in every person, each person is made in the image of God, so look deeper and find Gods glory.
