Well - the week has passed and now is my first chance to post something! breathe the 2nd happened last week and yet again God never ceases to amaze me. We are mean't to start at 7:30, and it was about 7:35 and there was only about 6 people at breathe. I was really wondering if I had made a mistake or if I had put people off - but then about 2 mins later about 50 people walked in! So, we got down to praise God and I think nearly everyone in the room had some kind of experiance of God. The music sounded fab, although could have been a little bit louder? The free praise (which is when you don't follow a song and just kind of make it up as your heart see's fit) was very quite - but there was a lot of needed peace.

We have started planning the next one - but sadly we dont have an IT guy guy as mickey is now in the jungle! Our thoughts and prayers are with you Mickey.

"come just as you are to worship"

Its a well known song, and is normally played as an opener for some kind of worship. But what is the true content behind the words, what does "come just as you are to worship" mean? Jesus himself has called us (Matthew 9:12-14). So when we come to worship we are not expected to be holy, in the perfect place with God. We are called to come with all our baggage, all of our inadequacies. The song is merely calling you from the spot you are in right now. There is no need to prepare yourself...Its come just as your are. So if you are feeling that your not in the right place to worship God, dismiss those feelings as the right place to worship God is the place you are in now.

I thought I would try and keep the blog spot up to date and to keep people interested. So I thought I would steal the idea from a friends webpage and have a review section - but through blogging. The review is going to be on lines in a song, to really look at a line and see what it is actually saying, at times it can be very easy to sing a line of a well known song and miss what is really behind it. Watch this space!!

The songs have been picked, the prayers are being said and all is well...I am really excited about the second ever breathe, I'm not sure how many people will be coming along - but lets really pray there is more than last time. One of the things we do at breathe is have a moment to pray for everyone and everything. Well the good lord answer my prayers everytime....I have been a little panicked about the sound for breathe and wasn't sure how it was all going to work as we have very limited equipment and even less knowledge. Then on Saturday afternoon I got a call from Steve (from crossbeam) and he told me that he and his guys were coming to do the sound with their new gear!! No pressure now lads....

It has been 2006 years six the saviour of the world was born and the new year has started with a Bang? Well perhaps not but it certainly looks like God is going to work in us this year. So many events, so may people serving God and the number of Gods army increases day by day. My challenge for this year is to spread even more of Gods love, to love my neighbours. What has God asked you to do this year, has anyone been challenged to do something out of their comfort zone? If so and you would like people around the world to pray for you let us know!
